Obituary for David Edward Haney

Ellsworth
David E. Haney, 58, died August 19, 2015 at his home. He was born October 19, 1956 in St. Stephen, N.B., Canada the son of Paul and Hazel (Dwelley) Haney.
David attended Calais Memorial High School and then served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Later he went to Washington County Vocational and studied carpentry. He worked for local carpenter, Millwright Union in Bangor and also did finish carpentry. David married Patricia (McInnis) and they just celebrated their 29th anniversary. He was a long standing member of the Blue Hill Gun Club, a member and judge advocate at the American Legion Post #63 of Ellsworth. He recently enjoyed taking his walks on the Shore Road and many times his route would include Willey’s, his favorite store, and enjoyed his talks with Jason and the folks about gun collecting, shooting, and sometimes doing some research for them.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia; son, Jon McInnis; grandson, Gavin Pierce; brother, Ken Haney and Sheila; and nephew, Paul Haney of Bradley. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Jamie and Donnie Haney.
A remembrance of David will be held 12:00-1:30, Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the VFW Hall, 419 Main St., Ellsworth
