Obituary for Dana Richard Roix

Bangor/ Presque Isle
Dana Richard Roix, 89, died June 29, 2014 in Bangor. He was born November 10, 1924 in Presque Isle, the son of Forest E. and Myrtle O. (Lockhart) Roix.
Dana graduated from Presque Isle High School. He served as an aviator in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for Nabisco for 35 years as a salesman.
He is survived by his son, Michael Roix and wife Kerry; granddaughter, Christy (Roix) Daggett and husband Jon; grandson, Jeffry Roix; sisters, Shirley (Roix) Hood and husband Chuck, Gloria (Roix) Calhaun and husband Charles, Darline (Roix) McKenna; great-grandchildren, Caroline Von Semkov, Carter and Julie Daggett. Dana was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Murchison) Roix.
A memorial service will be held, 1:00PM, Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 52 Second St., Presque Isle with Reverend Kevin Kinsey officiating. A reception will follow at Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center. Private interment will be at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle.
