Obituary for Charlotte Sawyer

TREMONT
Charlotte T. Sawyer, 90, died August 16, 2010 at a MDI healthcare facility. She was born October 16, 1919 in Hancock the daughter of Elmo J. and Bessie (Carr) Turner.
Charlotte was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary, Pythian Sisters, OES, and a member of the Head of the Harbor Church in Tremont where she had served in the past as secretary, treasurer and taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her two sons, Harvey E. “Bud” Sawyer of Tremont and Randal S. Sawyer and wife, Barbara of Frenchboro; five grandchildren, Corey Cecil of Bangor, Morgan Fairchild of Aurora, David and Michelle of Thomaston and Christopher Harvey and wife Emmie of Frenchboro; 5 great-grandchildren, Katrina of New York, Gretchen of Aurora, Isaiah, Marilyn, and Peyton Charlotte of Frenchboro. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Harvey M. Sawyer on Sept. 17, 2008; four brothers, Clifton, Elmo, Leslie, and Stetson and a sister, Clara Fennelly.
Services will be held and announced in June, 2011. Those who desire may make contributions in Charlotte’s memory to Tremont Congregational Church, c/o Carol Farley, PO Box 6, Bernard, ME 04612.
