Obituary for Cassie A. Gould
Bar Harbor
Cassie Adelaide Gould, 78, died August 12, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. She was born January 21, 1936 in Marshfield, ME., the daughter of Perl M. and Marcia E. (Young) Howie.
Cassie had several special interests including, knitting, doing crossword puzzles and gardening. She worked for many years at Wonder View Inn, Bar Harbor, as a housekeeper.
She is survived by two brothers, Paul L. Howie and wife Ida of Bar Harbor and Robert Howie and wife Gerri of Halifax, MA; a daughter, Faith Gould and husband Jay Clough of Ellsworth; grandson, Brandon Gould and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cassie was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Walter; a sister, Shirley Foss.
A celebration of life will be held, 4:00-6:00PM, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mt. Desert. Burial will be in East Machias.
Contributions in Cassie’s memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3300 East Sunrise Dr., Tucson, AZ 08718.
