Obituary for Carroll Warren Lunt Jr.

Carroll Warren  Lunt Jr.
Carroll Warren Lunt Jr., 56, died November 29, 2016 in Bangor. He was born December 22, 1959 in Bar Harbor, the son of Carroll Warren and Hazel Irene (Gott) Lunt Sr.

He attended the University of Maine in Orono and Husson College, graduating with a BA in Accounting and Teaching. He started working full time at Gott’s Store in 1985. Carroll continued to work for the family business and later on purchased the store. He was an avid bridge player and state champion for the state of Maine numerous times and also held titles for the state in chess. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.

Carroll is survived by his parents, his sister, Robin L. Benson and husband, Tom of Southwest Harbor, his half sister, Carole L. Mitchell of Florida, nephew, Derek Benson, niece, Holly Benson and fiancé KJ Bailey and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Three special friends, Irene Closson, Bethany Sanborn and Jessie Lawson and his special dog, Prince.

Friends are invited to call 4:00-6:00PM, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mt. Desert, where memorial services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, December 10. Interment will be at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
