Obituary for Barbara R. Dolliver

Penobscot and Town Hill
Barbara R. Dolliver, 87, wife of the late Howard S. Dolliver, died February 5, 2013 at a Penobscot healthcare facility. The daughter of Daniel and Isabelle (Trefethren) Austin.
Barbara was an excellent piano player and would often play for the children in the neighborhood and played at the Town Hill Congregational Church. Widowed at 44, she was able to provide love and support for her children.
She is survived by her daughters; Allyson Dolliver of Sunrise, FL, twin daughters, Shirley Dennison and husband Paul, Sheryl Jordan and husband Steve both of Ellsworth; five grandchildren, Jeanne Dennison, Shari Jordan, Kristi Bartlett, Gary Jordan and Travis Dennison; three great-grandchildren, Devlin, Alice, and Elsie; sister, Shirley Austin of Springvale; many nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Penobscot Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and great-granddaughter Olivia.
Private services will be held by the family. Contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to Robert and Mary’s Place, “An Option for People with Memory Loss”, 50 Meadow View Lane, Ellsworth 04605
