Barbara M. Blaschinski, 83, beloved mother and friend, died November 15, 2011 at her residence surrounded by people she loved. She was born November 21, 1927 in Hartford, CT. the daughter of James J. and Mildred (DeMonte) Cassell.
She was educated in Hartford, CT. and went to work at a fairly young age. Barbara fell in love, married and had three children with Vincent Blaschinski who was the boy next door. She moved to Maine to be near her daughter and son-in –law, Norann and John and her pride and joy, granddaughter, Emily. She was so proud of and loved the little house she built. She was so grateful for all of her “angels”. Their kindness, gentle touch and laughter meant so much to her. To all that Barbara loved and to everyone who came and gave support and made her feel special, especially Dr. Kathryn Rensenbrink, her nurses, Joyce, Sherry, Emma and Denise and to the best hospice volunteers ever, Mary and Sue. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by one son, James Blaschinski, of CT., two daughters, Norann Baranello and husband John, Jr., of Lamoine and Sharon Allen, of CT. and granddaughter, Emily Baranello, of Lamoine; 4 nieces and 1 nephew. Along with her husband she was predeceased by a sister, Jean Blum.
