Obituary for Anthony J. Grimaldi

Anthony J. Grimaldi, passed away March 27, 2014. He was born in Brighton, MA, June 08, 1928 the son of Luigi and Caroline (Evangelista) Grimaldi.
Tony served in the US Army. He worked as a technician in electronics for General Electric for 35 years. He was known as the fix it man, enjoyed repairing Model A engines, clocks and many appliances. He was always available to help his fellow friends and generously shared his famous spaghetti sauce with many. He was a member of the American Legion Post #63 and was Captain and Coordinator of the Ellsworth area Honor Guard. Tony was a long time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth.
He is survived by brothers, Joseph Grimaldi of Surry, Peter Grimaldi and wife Helga of FL; sisters, Elizabeth Hurley of Brighton, MA, and Ann Cirignano and husband John of FL; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 4:00-6:00, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 1, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 231 Main St. Ellsworth with Father Scott Mower, Celebrant. Interment will be 10:00 AM, June 1, 2014 at Morgan Bay Cemetery, Surry.
