Obituary for Anne T. Moore

Bangor and Lamoine
Anne T. Moore, 64, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2015 after an extended illness, with her loving sisters in attendance. Anne was born December 13, 1950, in Bangor, the second of ten children.
Anne was a gifted pianist, a highly accomplished singer, a very successful student at all levels, and a devout Catholic, which led to a long and deep respect for the Sisters of Mercy. She graduated from John Bapst High School in 1968 with outstanding academic success, where she sang in the High School Glee Club and was active in several other school organizations. In 1974 Anne graduated with a BA degree in French and minor in Physical Sciences from the University of Maine at Orono, where she served as General Secretary and Vice President of the Student Activities Core and was active in the Varsity Women’s Glee Club, the Oratorio Society, and the Newman Club. In 1971-1972, Anne studied at the University d’Aix-Marseille in Aix-en-Provence, France. Anne’s career included teaching high school English and French at Shead Memorial High School, Eastport, Maine, in the fall of 1975. Anne’s creativity, intellect, quick wit, and beautiful singing voice were enjoyed, admired and will be missed by all.
She was a loving and devoted sister and friend to her nine siblings, Kate, Kevin, Don, Frank, Mary, John, Mike, Terry, and Brian. She was aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews, and is survived by many loving cousins. Anne also made many friends on her journey through life, including those in Bangor, Lamoine, Orono, Eastport, and several cities in the great country of France. Additionally, throughout her life, Anne had many wonderful caregivers for whom we are eternally grateful and to whom we give our sincere thanks. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Donald (2014) and Kathleen (Kinnane) Moore (2002) and her nephew, Brandon Pearson (2009).
A time of visitation will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin Street, Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 231 Main Street, in Ellsworth. A gathering will follow in the church fellowship hall.
