Obituary for Alfred Gerald "Jerry" Hartson

Alfred “Jerry” Gerald Hartson, 67, died January 19, 2015. He was born June 25, 1947, in Syracuse, NY, the son of Robert C. and Harriet L. (Graham-Huey) Hartson.
Jerry attended the University of Vermont and received his BA in Environmental Sciences. After he moved to Maine he worked in carpentry and later as a caretaker for private estates. He was a member of the Somesville Union Meeting House, UCC.
Jerry is survived by three sons, Peter M. Hartson and wife Heather Carlisle of Trenton, Jesse R. Hartson and wife Tara of Hancock and Luke P. Hartson of Boston; a brother, Robert C. Hartson and wife Donna; sister, Dorothy A. Hartson all of Meredith, NH; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Jacob; a nephew, Robert C. Hartson III and wife Amy; niece, Rebecca L. Hartson.
Friends are invited to visit with the family, 4-6 pm, Friday, January 30, 2015 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main Street, Mt. Desert. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held 10am, January 31st at the Somesville Union Meeting House, UCC, 1134 Main Street, Mt. Desert with Rev. Victor Stanley officiating.
