Obituary for Albert X. Hemmerlin

Albert X. Hemmerlin, 93, died September 23, 2009 at Schervier Pavillion, Warwick, NY. He was born in Garfield, NJ, November 11, 1915 the son of Xavier and Marie (Steiger) Hemmerlin.
Mr. Hemmerlin ran his own piano tuning, violin repair and restoration business. He was an accomplished concert violinist and teacher having studied at the Paris Conservatory. He served in the US Army in WW II in France.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff and wife Cindy of Branchville, NJ, and David and wife Lisa of West Milford, NJ; daughters, Ruth Asare and Margaret Hemmerlin; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie (Woolf) Hemmerlin in 2004.
Friends are invited to call 5:30 – 7:00, Monday, September 28, 2009 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00, Tuesday, September 29th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 231 Main St, Ellsworth with Father Scott Mower, Celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ellsworth.
