Agnes Jean Swazey, 87, died Dec. 15, 2013 at Washington Manor care facility. She was born Sept. 12, 1926 in Bar Harbor the daughter of Ambrose J. and Stella M. (Landry) McKay.
Agnes graduated from Bar Harbor High School. She later worked in Washington D.C as a secretary. After marrying her late husband, Daniel Swazey, they lived in Tremont and Bar Harbor where they raised their four daughters.
Agnes is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Kelley of Orland, Diana Dumond and Helen Hall both of Belfast; 4 brothers, Charles McKay of Severna Park, MD, Bernard McKay of Landenberg, PA, James McKay of Hollis, and Lawrence McKay of Kennebunkport.She was predeceased by one daughter, Mary and one brother, Joseph McKay.
Services will be announced at a later date.
