Dear Gail, I was sorry to read in the Islander of your mother's death. I have such very fond memories of her, back when we were teenagers and I would meet you and Gary for rollerskating, or going to a dance, or just hanging out. Your mother was always just as you described her in the obituary--very dignified, gracious, and loving.
