Obituary for Nellie L. Gray (Robertson)

Blue Hill -- Nellie L. Robertson Gray, 87, died peacefully at home, December 20, 2016. She was born at home in Blue Hill, April 13, 1929, daughter of Ernest and Bessie (Atherton) Robertson.

She remained in Blue Hill her whole life. Nellie worked for some wonderful people during her lifetime, one of which was Virginia Whitney becoming very dear friends. She was married to Lawrence Gray for 65 years, losing him last year.

She is survived by her children, Linda G. Blake and husband Foster, David Gray and wife Jackie, Diane G. Grindle, Michael Gray and wife Patty, Danny Gray and wife Clara; grandchildren, Stacy Grindle, Jarrod Grindle and wife Dianna, Dakota Gray and partner Malissa, Cassidy Gray, Justin Gray and Nicole, Jairus Gray and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Thornley and partner Shawn, Joshua Ocasio, Lila Mae Grindle; great-great-grandchild, Damien Robinson; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for the great care they gave and to Coastal Caregivers for their wonderful care and companionship these last few months.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, December 27, 2016 at the Mountain View Cemetery, Blue Hill followed by a remembrance at Nellie and Lawrence’s home.
