Obituary for Jessie A. MacGregor (White)
Hancock -- Jessie A. MacGregor, 88, died December 21, 2017 at a Bangor hospital. She was born August 3, 1929 in Hancock the daughter of Frank E. and Lena S. (Stewart) White.
Jessie graduated from Sullivan High School and the Washington State Teachers College in Machias. She taught school for 42 years.
Jessie enjoyed church and was a member of the Sullivan Harbor Baptist Church. She loved to sing in the choir and played the piano. She was a very active person and always willing to help others. Jessie was an avid gardener and when her husband was living enjoyed fishing with him in both Florida and Maine.
Jessie is survived by two daughters, Bonnie MacGregor of Hancock and Heidi MacGregor of Bar Harbor; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren that she adored; sister, Norma C. Kelly; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gardner; and daughter Sandra.
Graveside Services will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock.
