Obituary for Kendall T. Hodgdon
Kendall T. Hodgdon, 88, passed away at his residence on December 13, 2016. He was born in Blue Hill, July 24, 1928, son of Seth and Hazel Hodgdon.
He grew up in Blue Hill and attended George Stevens Academy. He worked at Sargent’s Coal Yard in Ellsworth, and then lobster fishing. He then started working for himself hauling pulpwood and logs for over 65 years until his death. He was always willing to help others.
He is survived by his son, Dean of Blue Hill; sister-in-law, Margaret Staples of Brooklin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; loving wife Peggy; and brother, Karl Hodgdon.
Calling hours will be held 10:00-11:00, Monday, December 19, 2016 at the South Blue Hill Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 with Pastor Horace Varnum officiating. Interment will be at the South Blue Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Kendall’s memory may be made to the South Blue Hill Cemetery Association, P O Box 633, Blue Hill 04614.
