The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Chapman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: my condolences to Aileen-Doug had a wonderful and magical ability to connect people-so many times he would suggest I meet up with someone he knew and every time there was immediate chemistry-he created a new development committee for Catholic Charities and selected all the members on the basis that he knew that the group would operate in a collegiate manner-I am extremely grateful for Doug introducing me to the Trappist Monastery-for over ten years we have met there and it was the most powerful spiritual experience for me-I am grateful that I was able to meet Father Robert who was a mystic that could provide insight to all of group that went there-I will miss Doug who did more for social justice then anyone I ever met met-Godspeed.
