Malissa Marie "Tink"  Carter (Keefe)
Malissa Marie Keefe Carter “Tink”, 75, of Sedgwick died on Sunday January 17, 2016 at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1940 in Sedgwick, a daughter of Frank Eldon and Cynthia (Hooper) Keefe.

Malissa grew up in Sedgwick and graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1959. She attended University of Maine in Orono.

She was the secretary of Union 76 School System for 39 years. Malissa was a founding member of Coastal Antique Auto Club, a member of the Thursday Club, and Vice President of Rural Cemetery Association. She enjoyed going on trips with the antique cars, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

Malissa is survived by her siblings, Katherine K. Smith of Surry, Sue Duffy and husband Chandler of Blue Hill, Norman E. Keefe of Brooklin, Stanley O. Keefe of Brunswick; her nieces and nephews, Pam Kelley, Michael Smith, Clarissa Bucklin, Calvin Keefe II, Howard Keefe, Dawn Moraisey, Anthony P. Keefe, Veronica Keefe, Rolanda Morales, and Sabrina Drouin. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Calvin Keefe; nephew, Steve Duffy; and former husband Wayne Carter.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 1 to 3pm at Barncastle, 125 South St, Blue Hill, ME 04614.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Brooklin-Sedgwick Historical Society, PO Box 171, Sedgwick Maine 04676
