Obituary for Carolyn B. Meader

Bar Harbor/ Northeast Harbor
Carolyn B. Meader, 85, died January 2, 2016 at a MDI healthcare facility. She was born November 8, 1930 in Otter Creek the daughter of George J. and Clara (Davis) Buzzell.
Carolyn married Merle N. Meader on September 18, 1949. They made their home in Northeast Harbor. They had two children, Elmer and Marilyn. Carolyn worked at the Jackson Laboratory for a number of years in the housekeeping department. Carolyn was a very social person and loved to talk to family and friends. She was a past member of the Union Church of Northeast Harbor UCC as well as the Congregational Church in Bar Harbor.
Carolyn is survived by her son Elmer G. Meader & his partner Hope Casey of Franklin; a daughter Marilyn M. Lynk & her partner Charles Haynes of Seal Cove; a granddaughter Katherine A. Lynk & her partner David Lawson of Hancock; and Carolyn’s new great granddaughter, Merris Autumn Lawson daughter of Katherine & David; a very special friend Lucy Haynes and Goddaughter, Wendy Littlefield as well as several much loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Merle on August 30, 1986.

Graveside services were held 10:00AM, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Northeast Harbor.
