Obituary for Thomas J. "Thom" Palumbo
HANCOCK, ME
Thomas (Thom) John Palumbo, 68, died unexpectedly November 12, 2023, at his home in Hancock. He was born on June 29, 1955, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the son of Joseph Anthony and Rosemary Helen (Deziao) Palumbo.
Thom was the former owner of The Maples Inn of Bar Harbor (1997-2004). Prior to becoming an innkeeper, he worked for 25 years at HP Electronics. After moving to South Florida in 2005, Thom worked for Gilda’s Club South Florida, a cancer support community, and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, an engineering and governmental services firm.
Thom is survived by his beloved husband of 10 years, David Plath and two sisters, Carolyn (Joseph) Kalinich of Shohola, Pennsylvania and Marie (Robert) Rice of Phoenix, Arizona.
