Condolence: Tommy, I just heard about this sudden change of status from Cam. I had just spent the afternoon planning out my trip to visit you in August. I was going to introduce my little girls to you. We'll have to connect in a different way now. I send you my love. Mike, I will try to give you a call. - John

Condolence: I am so sad to hear of Tom's passing. We worked together at Squaw Mountain in the 70's. Reading the comments here brought back many fond memories of that time--the stories, the jokes, the head tilt, his dog Brewster who used to shed all over our condo, all of those things are so vivid, it seems like just yesterday instead of 37 years ago…My condolences to Tom's friends and family--he is gone way too soon.

Condolence From: Laurie Foley
Condolence: I first met Tom many years ago when I worked 3 seasons at the BH Inn. He had a gift for gab and charmed everyone who had the good fortune of being seated in his section. I had the opportunity to experience this first hand as he proficiently and kindly cared for my partner, myself and our moms for the past few Mothers days at the "Inn". My mother-in-law passed away this past winter and was noticeably absent this year as we were seated. Tom graciously mentioned her absence and gave the kindest sincerest condolences to both my partner and I. He had always been a bright spot for her every year. With his warm smile and kind words he made a difficult day for us another wonderful experience. In that moment I realized there was so much more to Tom than I had ever truly taken the time to notice. His gentle nature and many gifts I have no doubt have impacted more people than any us will ever really know. Sincere condolences to all those who loved and were loved by Tom. Laurie Foley

Condolence: I first met Tom some 36 years ago, during his first stint at the Bar Harbor Inn. He was such a character..always ready for adventure...and fun. I will remember him very fondly, his quirky tilt of the head when he was telling a story, the bounce in his step, and the gleam in his eye. I learned much from him, and although I only saw him in passing for many years, I always smiled when I saw him, and looked forward to hearing what he had to say. RIP dear kind man. You will be missed.

Condolence: Tom's enthusiasm for life and beautiful smile were infectious as he lit up the room wherever he went. A true renaisance man, with his range of skills and interests, set him apart from the pack. My heart goes out to Mike and your families who were so cherished by Tom. I am so sorry for your loss and to those who knew him as such a good guy. Life is so fragile. We must run with it, which Tom did every day. He was an inspiration to any of us who knew him. Rest in peace lovely man.

Condolence: We were both so shocked and saddened by his abrupt passing, and we are really still in shock. Tom was such a good friend and will be missed as we both so often think of him, especially the laughter. We know he is dealing the cards with His Mother and Big Mare, ready to resume their games of "99". We will continue to miss him.

Condolence: Tom faced every day with vim and vigor. I can truly say he enjoyed life to the fullest. Every day was a new adventure for him. His smile brightened the room whenever he entered. Not only was he an amazing server and dedicated member of our team for 25 years, he was also a best friend to many. He was a talker (he could tell the greatest stories) but he was also a great listener. A ½ hour walk with Tom might have turned into a 2-hour walk. He would always stop in the middle of a story and it would immediately become animated! He was a wonderful, kind and gentle person, and I will miss him
