Sylvia (Sibbie) Gillon, 94 died in Blue Hill Maine on October 13, 2022.
Sylvia was born in Bar Harbor on April 14,1928. She was married to Robert Gillon for 46 years until his death in 1999. Sibbie loved to be outdoors swimming, hiking, and in the winter loved to ice skate. Even in her later years she still loved to swim and hike.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses she loved talking to people everywhere and sharing comforting scriptures from the bible.
Sibbie is survived by one sister Georgia Haller and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and all of their extended families. Besides her parents George and Ada Belle Grindle, Sibbie was predeceased by sisters Dorothea Dyer, Jeanette Hanscome, Eleanor VanSant, Elaine Puckett and one brother Peter Grindle.
A zoom funeral service will be held on October 30, 2022, at 4:00pm.
The family wants to thank Golden Acres in Hancock for the loving care they gave Sylvia.
