Susan A. Barton, 82, died November 14, 2021, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born in Stamford, CT., November 16, 1938, the daughter of Dr. Gilbert B. and Charlotte Hammer Ayres.
She graduated from Bethel, CT High School class of 1956 and received a B.S. in Psychology from University of Washington. Susan worked as an administrative assistant and earned her real estate license.
She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, flute and was involved in many choral groups. She loved tending to her pets and gardening.
She is survived by her brothers, Gardner and wife Debbie of Georgetown, TX, Charles and wife June of Plaistow, NH, Samuel and wife Ruta of Wyckoff, NJ and William and wife Karen of Berkeley Heights, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents and husband Donald Barton.
