Obituary for Robert Alvah Clewley

Robert “Bob” Alvah Clewley, 83, passed away December 26, 2013 in Bangor. He was born in Bangor, July 2, 1930, the son of Ezra B. and Ella Mae (Coakley) Clewley.
Bob enjoyed golfing, gardening, and hunting. He was an assistant Cub Scout Master in Lamoine in earlier years. He was a past master of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #83 in Bangor, member of the Elks club in Punta Gorda, Florida, and a member of Anah Shrine.
He is survived by sons, Robert “Rob” Clewley and wife Linda of Garland, John K. Clewley and wife Alicia Holdsworth of Lamoine; daughters, Vicki Taylor and husband John of Bangor, Melany Hessert and husband Tony of Lamoine, Candy Morrison and husband Mark of Windham; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one niece. He is also survived by his companion of 15 years, Wilma Sargent; her daughter, Rebecca Sargent, and two granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (Thompson) Clewley; sisters, Louine Persley and Wilda Miner.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth.
