Condolence From: Daniel Stamp
Condolence: Dear Karen, My sincere condolences to you and the family on the passing of Dick. It came as a real shock to me yesterday -in spite of your Christmas message that he had been battling his illness with great courage. I have such fond memories of our time together and especially your visit to England and my home in Bath in '97. I shall never forget Dick's grace and humor as we celebrated US Thanksgiving with a bunch of English friends. He explained what it was all about and it was one of those evenings that will stay with me forever. He was a wonderful man and he has touched so many in his life-a life lived well with love and happiness. You are all in my heart at this sad time. Dan

Condolence From: Brett Landon
Condolence: Karen, Samantha & Mark, and the rest of the family... My heart goes out to you and your family. Dick was a great guy, that's to be sure, but what I'll always remember most about him was that smile, and kindliness behind it. I had the privilege of working with him for some time, and what always struck me was how genuine that kindness was. It was who he was after all. Whether he was asking me about my family or how work was going, he really was interested in the answer. He really and truly cared. For me, that's how I'll always remember him. Kind, caring and genuine and the world is a little less with his passing...but from somewhere else better, he's still smiling. -Brett

Condolence From: Chris Leith
Condolence: Dear Karen and family, My thoughts are with you at this time of loss. Just the few encounters that I had with Dick in the last year were so special. On an afternoon before heading to Boston last winter for treatment, he was making cupcakes with those terrific grandkids and I immediately realized what a special moment I had witnessed. I have shared that encounter with numerous people and they have been touched as well. And Dick was just here shopping for a Christmas present and asking about the right shuttle for you to weave with. His strength and aliveness as he faced so many health challenges made me feel a bit stronger. My sympathy as you celebrate Dick and miss him....Chris

Condolence: Dear Karen and family, Healing moves at its own pace. Be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time. I know your heart is aching and I am truly sorry for your loss. I know we never lose the people we love. They live the rest of our lives with us in our heart. I liked the following inscription taked from a headstone in Ireland - "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal" My best to you and your family. My thoughts are with you.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened with the news of Dick's passing. I feel most fortunate to have been part of Dick's life. Without exception, every time I had the opportunity to visit with him, I left with a sense of greater purpose - a sense of living up to the high moral and ethical standards that he lived by. I will fondly remember him for the true gentleman he was. His love for family and community was remarkable. My heartfelt condolences go out to Karen and all the family members. Sincerely, Jack
