Philip S. Jordan, 88, passed away under the hospice care of Marlene Walker at Total Care Solutions in Holden on April 6, 2022. He was born in Waltham, September 22, 1933, the sixth child of Waltham Elliott and Marguerite (Bunker) Jordan.
Philip served his country in the Army from March 1953-February 1955 as a private first class. On September 8, 1956, Philip married Joan Annette Jordan. With his wife, Joan, they began their family woods business, Philip S. Jordan and Sons. At the time, Philip moved his wood business forward by being the first to add a skidder, loader, and tractor trailer to increase his company’s productivity. In later years Philip and Joan moved to Frankfort, where they tended blueberry fields, grew large vegetable gardens, and watched their children raise loving grandchildren. Philip will be missed greatly by his family and all those whose life he has touched.
Philip is survived by his sons, Daniel of Waltham, David and wife Susan of Lamoine, Vaughn and wife Terri of Waltham, Andrew and wife Shirley of Bangor; daughter-in-law, Debora Dawson of Waltham; grandchildren, Nathan of Ellsworth, Jodi Bennett and husband Timothy of Waldoboro, Nicholas of Bradley, Tyler and wife Zanna of Cary, NC, Anna and husband Aaron of Trenton, Joshua and wife Stevi of Ellsworth, Jacob of Ellsworth, Noah and wife Caitlin of Ellsworth, step-grandson Anthony Jones and wife Kelly of Ellsworth, Meghan Murray and husband Ted of Bangor, Leah of Dover, NH, Kimberly Lorenc and husband Alex of Westbrook; great grandchildren Whitney, Asa, Kira, Timothy, Ezrah, Cameron, Noelle, Rein, Qoheleth, Evangeline, Megan, Caleb, Elliott, Bryer, Parker, Jett, Eloise and Carter; brothers, Marshall and his wife Patsy of Waltham, Dale of Holden and sister Gloria and husband Ronald Gregory. He was predeceased by Joan, his wife of 64 years and siblings Polly, Madalyn, Harvey, Ernestine, Tom, Russell and Jimmy.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip’s memory may be made to Total Care Solutions, 625 South Road, Holden 04429
