Obituary for Patricia Carlin Bruce

Patricia Carlin Bruce, 76, passed away June 25, 2019 in Tennessee. She was born in Lewiston, March 7, 1943 the daughter of Harry Wendell and Vernetta Pauline (Rector) Carlin.

Patricia graduated from Edward Little High School, attended University of Maine, Orono graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was a graduate of Kansas State University with a Masters of Special Education. She taught special education in Junction City, KS, Danvers, MA and Ellsworth. She loved being a teacher and spent many years devoted to children of all ages who had learning disabilities. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, breakfast club with friends and baking for churches. Patricia was married to Robert G. Bruce who died August 18, 2009.

She is survived by daughters, Leah Ott and husband David of Madison, IN, Rebecca Gobel and husband John of Franklin, TN; son, Timothy Bruce of Portland, ME; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Evan, Mackenzie, Julia, Anna, Owen, Thomas, Quinn and Sadie; brother, Harry Wendell Carlin; sister, Polly Bussiere; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; three sisters and 2 brothers.

Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00, Tuesday at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth and a Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00, Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Ellsworth. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ellsworth
