Obituary for Nicole P. "Nickle" Grindle

Nicole P. Grindle “Nickle” passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle, after a second courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Houlton on June 15, 1952, the third child of James and Ethel Henry.

Along with her family, Nicole moved to Ellsworth where she graduated from high school. She spent approximately 30 years working as a waitress at Jaspar's Restaurant on High Street in Ellsworth. Nickle loved spending time at the family camp at Paul Bunyan Shores in Corea. She also enjoyed traveling with her mother and brother, George. She was a very gentle and kind lady who will be missed. To quote her husband, “She is my angel. Just special.”

“Nickle”, as she was called by her family, is survived by her husband, Gerald, of twenty-five years;
her brother, Jim Henry, his wife, Pat, their children, and grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kane and Geraldine Vanovenhue, and their families. Nickle will also be missed by her beloved cat, Sweetie.
She was predeceased by her two daughters Suzette and Kimberly; her parents, James and Ethel Henry;
and her brother, George Henry.

A service will be held at the Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth on November 18, 2022, at 2:00pm
