Obituary for Nicholas King

Surry
Nicholas Zachary Michael King passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2022, in Surry, Maine. He was born September 4, 1999, in Ellsworth and was the son of Kristen King and James Kimball.
Nicholas was a 2018 graduate of George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill. He was a very creative young man and was always up to the challenge of building something out of the strangest materials such as a replica of a bridge out of spaghetti or a pirate ship using only paper. His love for building grew as he grew older and began working as a carpenter and roofer. Nicholas enjoyed his years at Surry Elementary School where he played baseball and basketball and learned to be a team player. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Papa as well as canoeing. His greatest accomplishment was working with his Papa on jobs roofing, decking, and building, including a 16-foot octagonal building which he was assisted with on the layout. Nicholas loved rabbits and traveled to rabbit shows all around the country becoming the number one Youth in the nation showing his Mini Lops. Remote control vehicles and playing video games were two of his favorite pastimes.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Kristen King and James Kimball of Ellsworth, his grandfather, Larry King and wife, Jeanne of Surry; grandmother, Eileen Arsenault-Keegan of Liberty; uncles Larry King Jr., Robert King, and Travis King and his significant other, Melissa McGowan, all of Ellsworth, and Garrett King of Florida; as well as his close cousins Travis King, Jr., Riley King, Eli King, Marissa King, Brook King, Teagan King, all of Ellsworth and Tori, Tristan, and Reece Jadczak of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Nicholas is also survived by his best friend, Everett Smith of Southwest Harbor and New York and his close friends Timothy Sanborn, John Watson, and Jarrett Norris.
