Obituary for Nanette Linda Bickford
Hancock
Nanette Linda (Thorsen) Bickford, 69, passed away November 15, 2019 at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 22, 1950 the daughter of Dwight Hillis and Virgie Irene (Gatcomb) Thorsen, Sr.
Nan graduated from Hancock Grammar school and Ellsworth High School class of 1969. She was a graduate of Victor Business School in Portland. She worked for Calerwood Baking Company in Portland where she met Arthur Bickford and they married in May of 1971. They then moved back to Hancock where they resided until her death. In 1985 and 1987 they welcomed their two daughters, Nicole and Heather. Nan worked for Allen’s/Hancock Foods for over 40 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur R. Bickford, Jr.; daughters, Nicole Bickford and Heather Bickford O’Halloran and fiancée Justin Cossette-Dunton; two grandchildren, Logan and Savannah O’Halloran all of Hancock; cousin, Dottie (Thorsen) Delorrey of NH; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and all her sibling.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, November 23, 2019 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth with a memorial service at 2:00 PM with Bob Maddocks officiating. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lygonia Masonic Lodge #40, 140 Bucksport Road, Ellsworoth
