Michael D. Madigan died October 13, 2015 in Bangor. He was born in Niles, Ohio, May 13, 1948 the son of James and Edith (O’Connell) Madigan.
He graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1966 and enlisted in the US Navy in September 1967, serving in multiple positions afloat and ashore until retiring as a Master Chief Ships Serviceman in 1989. Michael then joined the Defense Commissary Agency, retiring a second time in 2010.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing and hunting with his best friend Dan Arnett.
Michael is survived by his wife Barbara; sons, Michael Madigan of Silver City , NM, Christopher Madigan and wife Rohanna of Hancock, and Michael Quill of Brunswick; daughters, Colleen Burton and husband Cliff of Franklin, and Amanda Quill of Brunswick; sister Mary Nicholas and husband Mike; and brother James Madigan. He is also survived by grandchildren, Katy and Konnor Burton, Amelia, Carmen and Adelaide Madigan, as well as several nieces, nephews.
Services will be held in Ohio.
