Obituary for John Albert Wallace

John A. Wallace, 47, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2022. He was born November 23, 1974, the son of John and Carla Wallace.

Johnny Graduated in 1994 from Deer Isle-Stonington High School. He spent many years on the ocean, first on his father's lobster boat before embarking on his own lobstering career. Johnny truly loved being on the ocean. He also spent several years working for C.L. Haskell & Son as an electrician. He served for 10 years as a volunteer firefighter, starting out as a jr. firefighter for the Deer Isle Fire Dept.

Johnny will always be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, his willingness to lend a hand, his gentle nature, and for how much he loved his wife, daughter, and family.

Johnny was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Christie Chatto Wallace and his father and hero, John R. Wallace. He will be forever missed by his beloved daughter, Julie A. Wallace and partner Cole Dewey, his adored mother Carla Wallace, step-children Katie and Tommy Hutchinson, sister Cindy Heanssler and husband Brad, brother Joseph Wallace and wife Andrea, niece Brooke Wallace, nephews Bradley Heanssler and Jaxon Wallace, father-in-law Bob Chatto, mother-in-law Janet Eisenbraun, special friend Don, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Johnny and Christie's lives will be held at the Island Community Center in Stonington on October 23, 2022 from 11-2. There will be a private burial.
