Obituary for Jane Elizabeth Perry

Jane Elizabeth Perry, 80, died May 2, 2023, in Dexter. She was born, April 2, 1943, in Schenectady, New York, the daughter of Lawrence M. Maranville, Sr. and Ruth M. (Palmatier) Maranville.

Jane graduated high school in Burnt Hills, New York. She joined the U.S. Navy and worked on the computers of the line equipment. She later worked for General Electric as a computer processor. Jane lived and enjoyed traveling in a number of places including New York, Virginia, Takoma, Washington, Alaska, and Maine. She loved to fish, hunt and crocheting. Jane also enjoyed doing crossword and jig saw puzzles.

Jane is survived by her husband and companion of 12 years, George Openshaw; a son Warren T. Perry, III and wife Sharon of Steuben; 3 daughters Lonna Perry, Lakeville, Renee Pinkham and husband Skipper of Steuben, Elizabeth Lafferty and husband Dennis, III. of Oklahoma; identical twin sister Jean Hayes of Fort Ann, New York; 2 grandchildren Thomas Perry and wife Cortney of Ellsworth and Zachary Perry of Steuben; 3 great grandchildren John Warren, Lincoln and Theodore Perry. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and father of her children Warren T. Perry, Jr., and brother Lawrence M. Maranville, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm, May 17, 2023, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin Street, Ellsworth with a reception to follow.
