Jacqueline H. McFarland, 90, died February 26, 2019 in Bar Harbor. She was born January 18, 1929 in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Carroll Sidney and Carro Mabel (Richardson) Higgins.

Jackie graduated from Bar Harbor High School in 1946. She retired from Bangor Hydro Electric Company after 40 years. She was a member of the Bar Harbor Congregational Church and the Eastern Star Irene Chapter #97 of Ellsworth.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Deborah M. Monastra and husband, Salvatore of New York; grandchildren, Jason M., Erik M., Jessica M. and David M. Monastra; great-grandchildren, Arthur, Noah, Simon, and Salvatore Monastra; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence L. Higgins.

Friends are invited to call 1:00-2:00PM, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mt. Desert, where memorial services will be held at 2:00PM. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery, Mt. Desert.
