Hazel I. Meehan, 88, died October 05, 2011. She was born in Staten Island, NY, May 17, 1923 the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Kluth) Dawson.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and eating pastries and rolls made by her son-in-law.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Maureen Pelletier and husband Larry of Ellsworth; granddaughter, Meghan Pelletier; sister, Audrey Martuccio and husband Bart of Staten Island, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William J. Meehan; and twelve brothers and sisters.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ellsworth.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions in Hazel’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
