George G. Robbins, 90, passed away unexpectedly, September 5, 2023. He was born January 18, 1933, in Tremont, son of Colson J. and Charlotte (Reed) Robbins.

He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Boston University, and further education at Bentley School of Accounting. Majority of his career was with State St. Bank & Trust in Boston as a planned giving and personal trust advisor.

George was a treasurer for the Preachers’ Aid Society and at the First Congregational Church. He was a gifted vocalist and pianist and brought joy to many while singing in the church choir, Bagaduce Chorale and most recently for the residents at Parker Ridge. He was a great storyteller and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his son, James P. Robbins and wife Lynn; daughter, Cynthia D. Robbins; grandchildren, Oliva G, and Nathaniel J. Robbins; mother of his children, Nancy W. Robbins; nieces, Elizabeth, and Catherine True and great niece, Mikayla True. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia True.

A memorial service will be held September 29, 2023, at 1:30pm at the First Congregational Church, Blue Hill.
