Franklin
Faye J. Havey, 83, died unexpectedly after a short illness in a Bangor hospital on Oct. 16, 2023. Faye was born on Sept. 10, 1940, in Franklin to parents, Gerald and Marjorie (Bunker) Getchell.
Faye married Richard Sr. in 1960. She enjoyed a career of 35 years with the Franklin Public School system. She made a huge impact on each child she worked with. Faye loved spending time with her sons and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Faye is survived by her sons, Richard II, and his wife Diane Havey; and Wayne and his wife Julie Havey. Grandchildren, Melissa, Cheryl, Emily, and Heather. Great-grandchildren, Matthew, Kylie, Kristen, and Kamdyn. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Richard Sr. and a son, Mark Havey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Faye’s memory to a charity of your choice.
Graveside services will be held at Bayview cemetery in Franklin on Oct. 29th at 2pm.
