Obituary for Evelyn Louise Mason
Ellsworth
Evelyn L. Mason, 88, died peacefully August 30, 2019 at Seaport Village Healthcare, Ellsworth. She was born February 10, 1931 in Ellsworth the daughter of Harold J. and Anne (McKenzie) Staples.
Evelyn graduated from Ellsworth High School. She married her husband, Phillip D. Mason, Jr and spent her life in the Ellsworth area. She worked at several local grocery stores and worked many years in the food service department at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Evelyn’s greatest pleasure was spending time at her family camp on Molasses Pond in Eastbrook.
She is survived by son, Randy Mason of Waltham; daughter-in-law, Holly Mason; grandchildren, Jessica Mason of Ocala, FL, Joshua Mason of Waltham, Stephanie Currier of Kenduskeag and Timothy Mason of Hancock; great-grandchildren, Lilia Springer, Lukas Mason, Racheal Harris, Spencer Harris, Taylor Mason and Tanner Mason; brother-in-law, Donald Mason and wife Jean of Augusta; sister-in-law, Hope Linnehan of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Phillip, D. Mason, Jr; son, P. Wayne Mason; brother, Alvin (Bud) Staples.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Seaport Village for all the wonderful care Evelyn received during her stay there.
