Esther C. Testa, 95, died February 19, 2020 in Bar Harbor. She was born in Bar Harbor, April 22, 1924, a daughter of James Robie and Mary Louise (Vance) Hodgkins.
She attended schools in Bar Harbor and earned an Associate' s Degree from Westbrook Jr. College. She worked at several businesses including AB & JR Hodgkins, Frenchman's Bay Motel and Sonogee Estates.
Esther was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Harold "Tubby" Collier (1944-1979) and husband Michele Testa Jr. (1981-1994). Esther was a life-long member of the Bar Harbor Congregational Church. She was also a member of the MDI Hospital Auxillary and Kebo Valley Golf Club and in her early years was a cub scout den mother.
She is survived by sons, Robert V. Collier and wife Patricia, Richard V. Collier and wife Claudia all of Bar Harbor, John R. Collier and wife Susan of Mt. Desert; stepchildren, Anna Striefel, Cathie Slick, Judy Storey and Thomas Testa. Grandchildren; Dean, Sandy, Carrie, Melissa, Jay, Lesley and spouses; great-grandchildren; Kendra, Dillan, David, Camden, Brady, Carly, Nina, River and Scarlett and many nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by sisters, Carol Carney, Mary Paquet and stepson, Michele Testa III.
A spring graveside service will be held in Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
