Obituary for Elizabeth Domagala "Beth" Austin

Elizabeth (Beth) Domagala Austin, passed away unexpectedly August 26, 2019 at a Portland hospital. She was born in Ellsworth, September 5, 1959 the daughter of William T. Domagala and Nancy E. (Davis) Domagala.

She was raised on the Surry road in Ellsworth where many lifelong friendships started. Beth attended Ellsworth High School, as a senior was inducted into the National Honor Society. She worked in the banking industry out of high school, deputy registrar of deeds for Hancock county but Beth was best known for her talent in the kitchen at the Beech Hill School as the head cook for all the years her daughter, Tena was a student. She led Tena’s Daisy Girl Scout troop, supported the Mariaville Volunteer Fire Dept. and was an active member in the Mariaville/Otis Garden club. Her days were best spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed the outdoors especially cool fall days, taking day trips, going to the Fryeburg/Blue hill fairs, antiquing and in the kitchen once again; cooking for large family gatherings or baking her delicious sweet treats- although her deviled eggs were her family’s number one request.
Beth loved people; she had the gift of gab. Her laugh was contagious, and her heart was made of gold. Beth had many wonderful, long lasting friendships. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her. May her beautiful soul never be forgotten.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart- her loving, husband Everett M. Austin (of Mariaville). They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last September. Beth had one daughter, Tena Marie (Austin) Jordan and husband Travis. She adored and loved Tena. Beth’s pride and joys were her grandchildren, Tanner Lewis and Harper Elizabeth, they were her world; survived by her sister Diane; brothers, Thomas and Joseph. Beth loved her siblings dearly. Beth had many aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of nieces and nephews who she adored.

A celebration of Beth’s life will be held 1:00 pm, September 7, 2019 at the Mariaville Grange Hall.
Private graveside services will be held for immediate family.
