Obituary for Eleanor M. Renault
Eleanor M. Renault, 88, died December 4, 2018 in Northeast Harbor. She was born April 7, 1930 the daughter of Eugene and Lena (Leland) Merchant.
Eleanor attended Gilman High School, Northeast Harbor. She faithfully served the Parish of St. Ignatius Catholic Church for 37 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Sue Taylor Barnes and husband Russell, Alba, Texas, Kristy Irene Cousins and husband William, Lamoine; a son David Haggett, of ME ; grandson Lloyd Barnes, Mineola, Texas. Granddaughter Shannon Kolb and husband, Micah and daughter Micayla Kolb; grandson, Russell Aubrey Barnes, Alba, Texas; great grandson, Larry Garrett Barnes, Wichita Falls, Texas; granddaughter, Kimberley Richardson Jamison and husband Todd, Gouldsboro; greatgrandchildren, Danica Richardson and baby Daxton, Bangor, Aaron Meierdirk, Bangor, granddaughter, Candace Gray and husband Adam Gray and daughter Caelan. Sarah Wibberley and husband, Joshua and children Maxwell, Leiza and Kenan, Ankara, Turkey, granddaughter Melissa Cousins Moody and children Emma, Leah, and Silas Moody in Loleta, CA. Leslie Cousins-Leyva and husband Sergio and son Diego in Stephenson, MD.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 37 years Joseph Paul Renault, daughter Kathy Ilene Taylor, brothers, Donald and Richard Merchant and a sister Jean Gray.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am, Friday, December 7, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Church, 21 Ledgelawn Avenue, Bar Harbor. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Northeast Harbor.
