Obituary for Cynthia M. "Cindy" Hoffman

Franklin

Cynthia “Cindy” M. Hoffman, 64, died unexpectedly December 6, 2023, at her home in Franklin. She was born May 29, 1959, in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Herman F. and Mara E. (Cooper) Hoffman.

She worked as a nurse’s aide at Evergreen Convalescent Home, Temple City, CA. She went on to marry Robert Bishop II in December 1978, in Victorville, CA. They were married for 18 years before separating.

Cindy put her education aside to fulfill her dreams of marriage and raising her five boys. Her maternal aspirations were unmatched and second to none. As a child, Cindy enjoyed the Salvation Army Church, summer Camp and spent endless hours at the playground near her home. In recent years, she enjoyed weekly visits from the Franklin Baptist Church for Bible readings and music.

Cindy's greatest love in life was her sons and seventeen grandchildren. Cindy had a heart of gold and loved unconditionally. Family meant everything to her. She also loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Besides her family Cindy was a woman of faith and a strong belief in God.

She is survived by 5 sons: Ernie and wife Kristine, Ronnie and wife Jessica, Fred and wife Tina, Robert and partner, Fawn and Hollis and wife Katie; 17 grandchildren, Issac, Kaylee, Bryce, Ron, Brayden, Ava Rae, Kelsey, Ava Grace, Sophia, Hailie, Scott, Jocelyn, Mara, Logan, Harley, Robert IV, and Brendan: 4 sisters, Gay, Stella, Debbie and Cara; also many nieces and nephews, and friend/family member Lynn. She was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, Dicky, Jimmy, and Bunky: 3 sisters, Elizabeth, Lynn, and Charlotte.

A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined and Graveside Services will be held in the Spring of 2024.
