Obituary for Christopher Robert Buzzell

Christopher Robert Buzzell, 45, died unexpectedly from an automobile accident on October 6, 2020 at a Bangor Hospital. He was born March 11,1975 in Bar Harbor, Maine, the son of Joanne (Salisbury) Sousa and Robert D. Buzzell.
Chris graduated from MDI High School Class of 1993 and Washington County Technical School in 1995. He was self-employed as a carpenter and did plumbing and heating contractor work in the MDI area. He also enjoyed woodworking and was proud of a table he recently built.
Chris was a kind, generous and gentle friend with many “Buddies” as he called them. Chris enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family. He was especially close to his brother, Andy. They took on many projects together and were quite a team.
Chris is survived by his mother, Joanne Sousa and husband Anthony of Somesville; his father, Robert Buzzell and wife Denise of Bar Harbor; his siblings Terri Costa and husband Eric of Hampstead, New Hampshire; Andrew Buzzell and girlfriend Jacqueline Spofford and Benjamin Buzzell and girlfriend Lindsay Young all of Ellsworth; Elizabeth Sousa Loree and husband Jonathan of Mendham, New Jersey; Tracy Sousa of Califon, New Jersey; also by cousins, nieces and a nephew. Chris was predeceased by grandparents, Everett and Agnes Salisbury and Fulton and Mertice Buzzell, all formerly of Hulls Cove.
