Obituary for Bruce Erroll Gott

Bruce Erroll Gott, 62, died unexpectedly March 12, 2021 at his home. He was born in Bar Harbor, December 15, 1958 the son of Norman Albert and Christina H. (Mitchell) Gott.
Bruce graduated from MDI high school, class of 1977. Following graduation, Bruce started working at the Jackson Laboratory and was a crucial member of the Research Team. At the time of his passing, he had authored over 20 publications. Bruce married Pamela Jean Farley in 1981, although they separated, they remained close friends until his passing. He was an extremely devoted father and grandfather.
Bruce was the Lamoine Lions Little League coach, Pack 88 Scout leader and never missed a single one of his son’s school field trips. He was often seen fixing one of the many neighborhood kids ATV’s. He was a father figure to many and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his mother, Christina; sons, Nicholas and wife Misty and Justin “JB” and wife Rachel; granddaughter, Rayna; grandson, Cole; brothers, Frank and wife Kate and Dale; favorite sister, Maria and husband Mark. He was predeceased by his father, Norman; brother, Billy; grandparents, Albert, and Evelyn.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
