Obituary for Barbara M. "Bobbie" Muise
Bar Harbor- Barbara (Bobbie) M. Muise, 70, died August 7, 2021. She was born January 6, 1951 in Bar Harbor to Robert and Signey (Cerasale) Frye.
Barbara was part of the first graduating class from MDIHS in 1969. She was known by most as the Bar Harbor Post Office Lady where she worked for over 40 years. Barbara enjoyed gardening and animals. She absolutely loved being a grandmother. She was very proud of her daughter, Kim and her family. This included any fur or feathered babies as well. Barbara never missed a dance recital, show choir extravaganza night, school music concert, spring play, or fall musical in which Caitlin or Chelsea, her granddaughters, participated.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Schroeder and her husband David, granddaughters Caitlin and Chelsea Schroeder, sister Sharon LeConte and her husband Chris, brother Robert E. Frye, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and special friends Snicker Damon and William (Bill) Higgins.
Barbara was buried at Hillside Cemetery in Hulls Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the SPCA of Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, 04605.
