Obituary for Llewellyn "Bud" Lynk

Llewellyn “Bud” Lynk, 69, passed away March 7, 2017 in Bangor surrounded by his wife, son and daughter-in-law. He was born June 18, 1947 in Bar Harbor, the son of the late Peter Lynk Sr. and Charlotte (Merchant) Leighton.

Bud graduated from Mt. Desert High School in Northeast Harbor. He joined the U.S. Army in 1970. After serving in the Army he was employed as a mason tender and for the past several years, worked at the Bar Harbor Laundry Company.

Bud loved playing pool and darts and his team went to Vegas for the State of Maine. He was a huge fan of wrestling and “The Bruins” hockey team.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen (Deveau) Lynk of Ellsworth, a son, Llewellyn “Lew” Lynk and his wife, Alana of Town Hill, a sister, Elissa Young and her husband, Robin. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call 5:00-6:00PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center, 119 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where a celebration of life will follow at 6:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to the family to help with his medical expenses.
