Machias and Swans Island, ME

Carolyn E. Jellison, 79, died from complication from advanced stages of pancreatic cancer on January 3, 2012 at the Downeast Community Hospital, Machias, ME.  Her husband, Eugene “Gene” A. Jellison who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for more than a decade then died on March 8, 2012.

Thomas William Hutchison, 60, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Surry, Maine, died on May 28 at his home in Surry from sudden cardiac arrest. Hutchison was born August 25, 1951 in Texas the son of William and Helen (Weider) Hutchison, but lived most of his life in Tallahassee, Florida.

Joseph “Joey” Loren White, 23, died May 27, 2012 in Trenton.  He was born May 9, 1989 in Blue Hill the son of Karen E. Robidoux and Richard L. White.

Ralph E. Allen Sr. 84 of Ellsworth, went home to be with his Lord on May 27, 2012.  He was born on September 22, 1927, a son of Frances S. and Ruth (Bisco) Allen.

Lamoine 

Richard E. Fennelly, Sr., 81, died May 17, 2012 at a Bar Harbor health care facility.  He was born in Bar Harbor, Jan. 19, 1931, the son of Thomas and Clara (Turner) Fennelly, Sr.

Bar Harbor

Milton “Putt” T. Walls Jr., 77, died May 15, 2012 at his home in Bar Harbor, surrounded by his loving family and special friends.  He was born October 14, 1934 in Tremont, the son of Milton T. and Zulma (Wentworth) Walls Sr.

BERNARD

Rosamond B. Pinchetti, 82, of Benson Lane in Bernard, died May 13, 2012 at a Bar Harbor nursing facility.  She was born August 31, 1929, in Bernard, the youngest daughter of Ralph G. and Eva (Wooster). Benson.

Waltham

Robert J. Cyr,”RJ”, 37, died May 14, 2012 at his residence in Waltham. He was born in Stamford, CT, on May 20, 1974 the son of Robert P. Cyr and Ann-Marie Britton.

RJ graduated from Bethel High School in 1993. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, fishing, and rescuing animals. He was very creative and liked doing carpentry. He was the Animal Control Officer in Waltham.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Lauren (Sullivan) Cyr; father, Robert P. Cyr and wife Sharon Hazzard Cyr; sister, Jennifer Barboza of Bethel, CT; half-sister, Kristy Britton of Naugatuck, CT; step-brother, Matthew Hazzard of Norwalk, CT; father-in-law, John Sullivan of Norwalk, CT; brothers-in-law, John Sullivan and wife Katherine of Naples, FL, and Chris Sullivan of Norwalk, CT; nephews, Gabriel Barboza of Bethel, CT, Matthew Hazzard, Jr. of Norwalk, CT; nieces, Isabella Barboza of Bethel, CT, and Aaliyah Hazzard of Norwalk, CT. RJ will be greatly missed by his friends and family as well as his adored dogs, Sway, Frosty, Zeke, and Avery. He was predeceased by his beloved dog, Princess.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Jon Frederick Holder, 71, a practicing attorney in Portland, Bangor, and Bar Harbor died Saturday evening, May 12, 2012, at his home. Jon was born on April 21, 1941, in Boston, Mass. to Norman and Virginia (Daniels) Holder.

Jean Merchant Gray, 84, died May 13, 2012 at a healthcare facility in Hancock. She was born in Somesville, April 30, 1928 the daughter of Eugene S. and Mabel A. (Benson) Merchant.
