Brandon Allan Tokas

Brandon Allan Tokas, 19, died March 8, 2010 in Ellsworth. He was born in Blue Hill, July 27, 1990 the son of Barton E. and Bonnie A. Tokas and Chuck and Sally (Williams) Ives.

Brandon graduated from MDI High School in the class of 2008. He attended the University of Maine, Orono and was a brother of Pi Kappa Alpha. Brandon was employed as a construction worker.  He enjoyed mixed martial arts, playing guitar, football, hiking and weightlifting. He attended the First Baptist Church of Bar Harbor.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Nicolas E. Tokas and companion Brittany A. Pierce; sisters, Kassondra Macy and husband Thomas of FL, Carrie Ives Stein and husband Jason of Harpswell; grandmother, Helene D. “Grady” Williams of NH; grandparents, Frank  and Margaret Tokas of MA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth where a funeral service will be held 10:00, Friday, March 12 with Rev. Scott Records officiating.

Contributions in Brandon’s memory may be made to MDI High School Athletic Fund, c/o Bunky Dow, Box 180, Mt. Desert, ME 04660
