Elwin Everett Albee
Elwin Everett Albee, 94, died November 22, 2009 at his residence. He was born in West Gouldsboro, May 16, 1916 the son of Emery G. and Edna (Bunker) Albee.
Elwin was the founder of Albee’s Cottages in Prospect Harbor. He loved working in his gardens. Tourists enjoyed stopping and talking with a true “Downeaster” and he would always give them something from his garden.
He is survived by a daughter, Eva Michaud of Bangor; granddaughter, Janet Braga and husband Chris of Albany, NY; great-grandchildren, Rowan and Kayla Braga; nieces, Margaret Libby of Bangor and Margaret Niesen of Ellsworth; special friends, Alfred DiMarco, Gene Faulkingham and Addie Dyer; his special feline friend, Gracie. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Beatrice Moore Albee; siblings, Lura Chasse, Emery Albee, Leamond Albee, Janet Libby and Abby Kingsbury.
A private committal will be held at Beech Hill Cemetery, W. Gouldsboro.
