Alvin M. Staples

Alvin M. “Buddy” Staples, 86, died November 13, 2009 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born in Ellsworth, May 5, 1923 the son of Harold J. and Annie (Mackenzie) Staples.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the VFW Post#109 of Ellsworth.

He is survived by a sister, Evelyn Mason of Ellsworth; nephew, Randy Mason and wife Holly of Waltham; niece, Julie Mason of Ellsworth; great nieces, Stephanie Harris and Jessica Mason; great nephews, Timothy Mason, Joshua Mason, Brandon Pettengill; a special great-great nephew, Codey Pettengill. He was predeceased by his wife Levina and a nephew, Wayne Mason. A sincere thank you goes to the staff at MCMH especially Christopher Nelson, PA and Jim Ashmore, RN.

Friends are invited to call 5:30-7:00pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, November 18th at Hillside Cemetery, Waltham.
